As the primary contractor for a significant IT initiative, the ideal candidate will spearhead the technical support operations under a well-established contract framework. This position demands a blend of commercial strategy acumen, familiarity with the federal landscape, PMO oversight, and advanced technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing a team of over 30 professionals to execute a cutting-edge, agile approach for IT infrastructure and cybersecurity services.
- Overseeing personnel engaged in cybersecurity, DevOps engineering, A&A process guidance, and strategic communications.
- Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, developers, vendors, security teams, and executive sponsors.
- Managing subcontractors, authorizing invoices, and ensuring adherence to documentation standards.
- Delivering client outputs related to cybersecurity services.
- Maintaining project management documentation and addressing risk management, budgeting, and staffing needs.
Beyond routine responsibilities, the candidate will also engage in project planning, delegating technical tasks, assessing technology alternatives, and fostering team development within the program's framework. This role entails minimal travel to program sites across the nation.
Essential Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in project management or technical team leadership.
- Possession of Project Management Professional Certification(s).
- Prior involvement with cybersecurity and platform engineering teams.
- Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Assessment and Authorization processes.
- Proficiency in offensive and defensive cybersecurity, SIEMs, and cybersecurity tools.
- Familiarity with FISMA, FedRAMP levels, and DoD Impact Levels.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a solid grasp of project management principles.
- Experience in mentoring emerging talent in the IT sector, encouraging teamwork, and fostering collaboration.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- BA/BS degree in a technical or business discipline.
- US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or higher.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities and resonate with the company’s core values. They should excel in relationship management, contract oversight, and cultivating a positive workplace atmosphere.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and associated tools.
- In-depth understanding of major cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Previous experience in a Big Four firm is advantageous.
