Senior Principal Flight Safety System Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Flight Safety System Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. This is a hybrid role that requires expertise in flight safety systems, electrical circuit design, and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, update, and approve system verification artifacts and system requirements
- Design and develop electrical circuits for flight safety systems
- Identify issues, propose solutions, and ensure appropriate action is taken to mitigate issues
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders through verbal and written reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- 10 years of experience in technical engineering, leading teams in the aerospace or government sector
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- 12+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical design
- Specific experience developing electrical sub-systems used in flight termination
- Working knowledge of RCC319
