Job Summary

The Principal Flight Safety Systems Engineer position is a critical role within our Corporate or Research Center Team. This position requires expert or mastery-level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of project management, advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area, and the ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs, or systems.

Responsibilities
  • Familiar with developing, reviewing, updating, and approving system verification artifacts and system requirements
  • Familiar with electrical circuit design
  • Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and ensure appropriate action is taken to mitigate issues
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of experience with technical engineering background, leading teams in the aerospace or government sector
  • Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
