Role Summary:

We are seeking a Principal Flight Safety System Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to the Energetics and Propulsion Department, which focuses on the design and advancement of propulsion technologies for Land Warfare and Air Defense sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, review, and approve system verification documents and requirements.
  • Engage in electrical circuit design and analysis.
  • Identify challenges, propose effective solutions, and implement actions to address issues.
  • Work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborate with management to establish a flexible work schedule.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of applicable experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in mechanical and electrical design.
  • Experience with electrical subsystems for flight termination, including electronic arm fire devices and tracking systems.
  • Proven track record in developing flight systems for extreme environments.
  • Familiarity with RCC319 standards.
  • Experience in creating destruct termination devices.
  • Background in business development and technology strategy.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
