Position Overview:

In response to our growth and expanding business opportunities, Lockton, Inc. is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to deliver technical and analytical support within our Specialty Consulting divisions. The successful candidate will exhibit a high degree of professionalism, thrive in a dynamic environment, and possess the adaptability to shift priorities as needed while embracing new learning opportunities.
  • Conduct data analysis and support operational functions to furnish stakeholders with critical information and insights necessary for informed decision-making and solution crafting.
  • Act as the primary Power BI authority for Lockton's specialty consulting teams.
    • Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards in alignment with business specifications, employing advanced DAX formulas.
    • Create User Acceptance Testing (UAT) guidelines and scripts.
    • Establish and execute testing protocols and provide sign-off for deployment readiness.
    • Ensure the security and access control of dashboards.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to grasp their needs, goals, and requirements.
  • Utilize automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from diverse sources, transforming it into actionable metrics.
  • Review and enforce standardized data practices and transitions from analysts and data engineering teams.
  • Execute ad hoc reporting queries, including comprehensive analysis and insights.
  • Integrate data from various sources into pertinent client reports.
  • Oversee data quality, conduct validation checks on multiple datasets, troubleshoot data-related challenges, and resolve issues promptly to uphold data integrity.
  • Assist in designing advanced reporting solutions to adapt to evolving client demands.
  • Pursue continuous quality enhancement in processes, policies, and reporting to foster efficiency and innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of pertinent experience with Power BI is essential (DAX measures/queries, data modeling, star schema, row-level security).
  • At least 2+ years of experience with Power Query (M) and Power Automate is required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with Excel is necessary (VBA knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory).
  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst PL-300 Certification or equivalent expertise is highly preferred.
  • Proficient ETL and data manipulation capabilities.
  • Alteryx Designer Core Certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with scripting and querying tools such as Python, R, or SQL, along with statistical methods and data modeling, is advantageous.
  • Data analysis experience within a healthcare brokerage or insurance carrier environment is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including expertise in word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in manipulating and analyzing large datasets.
  • Capable of handling confidential information in the best interests of both the client and the organization.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
