Radiation Effects Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sr. Staff Systems Engineer - Radiation Effects to join our team at Northrop Grumman Defense Systems. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.
Key Responsibilities- Design systems that will operate in extremely hostile environments using experience and education in radiation effects modeling and testing.
- Guide and mentor a team of engineers in the science of nuclear weapon effects modeling and parts/equipment testing.
- Perform total dose (TD), dose rate (DR), neutron displacement damage (NDD) and single event effect (SEE) heavy ion testing.
- Conduct radiation effects circuit analyses, including TREE, SGEMP, and EMP.
- Collaborate with a team of experts to develop and implement radiation effects testing and modeling strategies.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics from an accredited university with a minimum of 14 years of experience or 12 years with a Master's degree, 9 years with a PhD.
- 10+ years of experience in modeling and testing with respect to radiation effects.
- 8+ years of experience in nuclear weapon effects modeling and parts/equipment testing.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with an investigation in the last 6 years.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Weapon System Experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience).
- MBSE Experience.
- Strong familiarity with MIL-STD-1766.
- Active Top Secret Clearance.
