Key Responsibilities- Design and develop new parts and assemblies, including creation of 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.
- Collaborate with suppliers by providing necessary design information to develop components/systems as needed.
- Ensure production of quality products per industry compliance and Yamaha standards.
- Coordinate & plan necessary laboratory and ride testing applicable to the parts and systems being developed.
- Analyze, interpret, and summarize test results to determine necessary design changes or optimizations.
- Assist in analysis and validation of parts and subassemblies designed by other engineers.
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- 0-3 years' experience in design engineering, product development, or similar.
- Experience in: Machining, Casting, & Molded parts (plastic).
- 3D modeling experience required.
- Strong hands-on shop and fabrication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
