Job Summary

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. This role supports Sport Boat Engineering staff and develops new projects per the concept request of the Sport Boat Product Management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new parts and assemblies, including creation of 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers by providing necessary design information to develop components/systems as needed.
  • Ensure production of quality products per industry compliance and Yamaha standards.
  • Coordinate & plan necessary laboratory and ride testing applicable to the parts and systems being developed.
  • Analyze, interpret, and summarize test results to determine necessary design changes or optimizations.
  • Assist in analysis and validation of parts and subassemblies designed by other engineers.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • 0-3 years' experience in design engineering, product development, or similar.
  • Experience in: Machining, Casting, & Molded parts (plastic).
  • 3D modeling experience required.
  • Strong hands-on shop and fabrication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
