About Yamaha Motor

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our team in Kennesaw, GA. As a key member of our Marine team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of new sport boat features and systems from concept to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute project scope, budgets, and schedules for new sport boat features and systems.
  • Establish and execute design and qualification test criteria to ensure cost-effective products that meet Yamaha performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including Sport Boat Product Management, Procurement Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Develop component, assembly, and system concepts using 3D CAD/2D drawings and produce prototypes for testing.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a smooth handoff from concept validation to production.
  • Travel to Yamaha facilities, suppliers, and test sites as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
  • 5-7 years of experience in new product life cycle and process development.
  • Experience designing consumer or industrial products at mid to high volume levels.
  • SolidWorks 3D modeling experience is required.
  • Strong foundation in static structural FEA and CFD analysis.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
