Electrical Analysis Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Analysis Engineer to join our Nuclear Services Group in Kennesaw, GA. In this role, you will work in a diverse and innovative team to evaluate power systems using various electrical analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform calculations and designs.
  • Perform assignments with clear technical objectives and a degree of complexity, requiring independent judgment.
  • Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and coordinate with mechanical and civil/structural engineers.
  • Review and check calculations, studies/evaluations, designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors.
  • Prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates.
  • Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with designated work assignments with minimal guidance and technical oversight.
  • Devise new approaches to technical problems, leveraging broad knowledge of precedents and operating experience in the industry.
  • Travel for client site visits, field installation, checkout, and start-up.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Mid-Level requires 3+ years of experience; Senior-Level requires 7+ years of experience.
  • Nuclear experience is mandatory.
  • Prior power system design experience is a plus.
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems.
  • Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, EMTP-RV, PSCAD is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present and draw conclusions from large data sets.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Good writing, presentation, and communication skills.
