Job Title: Project Cost Analyst

Veolia North America is seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing the capital investment program for our water and wastewater utilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with project managers to prepare and submit accruals for work completed but not invoiced.
  • Monitor project expenditures and create change requests for projects exceeding approved budget.
  • Address errors in the asset accounting system and enter unit estimates for creating new assets.
  • Prepare Capex reports for rate surcharge filings and Rate Case filings.
  • Work with transmission and distribution departments to update monthly installed units for blanket projects.
  • Review payment requests and purchase order requisitions before submission.
  • Prepare procurement forms for projects and supervise the requisition process.
  • Organize engineering records and create folder structures for new projects.
  • Prepare transfer requests and coordinate with accounting to process.
  • Train new department employees on engineering department functions and processes.
  • Create new project requests and funding projects in PPM.
  • Prepare monthly Capex actual expenditure reports and update Capex forecast.
  • Coordinate with PMs and other departments to request capital needs for the annual Capital planning process.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or Finance/Economics with engineering/utility background.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of managing budgets and capital expenditure forecasting for infrastructure projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus.
