About the Role

Cash App is seeking an exceptional product leader to take the helm of our Operating Systems abstraction, which owns everything from our core Peer to Peer product, Shared Surfaces & Primitives, Messaging & Recommendations, Design Systems, Social vision, and more. The Operating Systems team is responsible for the information architecture of the entire Cash App product, a critical responsibility given our ever-expanding ambitions and ecosystems of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Operating Systems Team: As the Head of Product for the Operating Systems team, you will lead a team of incredible product leaders and be responsible for the team's vision, strategy, roadmap prioritization, and customer & business impact.
  • Drive High-Impact Initiatives: You will drive high-impact initiatives from inception through execution, collaborating with some of the best designers and engineers in the industry to define a vision for how Cash App will redefine social banking.
  • Manage Complexity: The role requires a leader that thrives in ambiguity, can manage complexity, is a strong communicator, and can deftly balance competing priorities / needs across the organization.
  • Own the Vision: You will own the vision, strategy, implementation, and customer & business outcomes for the Operating Systems team.
  • Lead and Inspire: You will lead and inspire a team (engineers, designers, researchers, data scientists, business operations) to ship innovative and incredible experiences at scale.
  • Manage the Roadmap: You will manage the roadmap and team processes to enhance execution velocity, making tactical tradeoffs between business priorities and resources.
  • Drive Effective Partnership: You will drive effective partnership both cross-functionally and across abstractions & product teams, ensuring the team is effectively supporting the needs across the business.
  • Define Metrics: You will define the framework and metrics to measure the impact of the team; deeply understand the core drivers and monitor progress.
Qualifications

We're looking for a product leader with:

  • 14+ years of product management experience with a strong familiarity of consumer-facing ecosystem products and a proven track record of delivering outstanding products at scale.
  • Outstanding leadership skills; the ability to inspire team members and drive collaborative decision-making across geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.
  • A high degree of comfort with ambiguity, and a knack for quickly ramping on new skills and functions. You excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional prioritization and cross-functional stakeholder management, particularly influencing compliance/legal and external partners in a highly regulated industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and narrative storytelling skills. You can frame and distill complex information appropriately for different audiences and are comfortable regularly presenting to and guiding Cash App's most senior leaders.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to distill and communicate complicated data to make decisions, determine roadmap prioritization, and understand and communicate customer and business impact.
  • Exceptional team management and organizational skills. You've built and scaled cross-functional teams and processes.
  • A hunger to tackle complicated and impactful customer and business problems.
