Radiologic Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Concentra. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine x-ray examinations in accordance with Concentra policies, practices, and procedures and applicable regulations under direct supervision of the treating clinician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, providing verbal and/or written instructions, and assisting patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning radiologic equipment and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting equipment malfunctions to Center Operations Director.
  • Follow all Radiology workflows and ensure all Radiology reports cross correctly to EMR.
  • Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education Level: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable certification by the state in which employed.
  • Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and has active and valid certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
