Position Overview: The Finance Team at Ingersoll Rand is in search of a Finance Operations Leader for our manufacturing units. This role is integral to the leadership team and reports directly to the VP of Finance. The Finance Operations Leader will guide a skilled team of finance professionals, managing policy adherence and resource distribution to address various challenges and opportunities.

This position requires a high level of collaboration, working closely with the General Manager and other leaders to provide financial insights that align with and support the Annual Operating Plan. Primary objectives include driving revenue enhancement, improving profit margins, and optimizing working capital, utilizing Ingersoll Rand's advanced tools and methodologies, all while maintaining our commitment to sustainability, diversity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Control: Maintain robust financial controls by adhering to all existing compliance narratives, collaborating with audit teams to proactively identify and rectify potential issues.
  • Asset Protection: Develop and implement policies to ensure the protection of all plant assets.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable standards and corporate policies.
  • Management Reporting: Provide detailed month-end analytical reports that clarify financial performance, highlight trends, identify risks, and uncover opportunities.
  • Corporate Finance Interaction: Respond promptly and accurately to inquiries from shared financial services.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in the development of reliable forecasts and budgets to guide plant operations.
  • Business Collaboration: Lead business process initiatives to achieve both immediate and long-term objectives while enhancing financial literacy among local leadership.
  • Talent Development: Create a motivating work environment that aligns the team with corporate goals, fosters talent growth, and ensures operational continuity through strategic personnel planning.

Work Environment & Travel:

  • This position requires onsite work at our manufacturing facility, with occasional travel based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of controller experience in a manufacturing setting. Advanced degrees or certifications (MBA, CMA, CFA, CPA) are preferred.
  • At least three years of experience leading finance and accounting teams, with a focus on team management and development.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, demonstrating a strong understanding of technology in financial operations.
  • Experience in compliance and project management, with a proven track record in regulatory compliance and audit engagements.
  • Expertise in Excel, HFM, Essbase, and familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of driving financial objectives, combined with analytical thinking and a solid understanding of accounting in a manufacturing context.
