About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Van Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Swickard Auto Group. As a key member of our installation team, you will play a crucial role in the van and truck building and installation process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and install van and truck equipment, including shelving, roof racks, ladder racks, tire carriers, partitions, drawer units, storage systems, bumpers, work bodies, lights, and electrical accessories.
  • Outfit recreation vans and trucks with windows, roof racks, bumpers, suspension upgrades, wheels, tires, and interiors.
  • Install suspensions as needed.
  • Install equipment according to verbal and written directions.
  • Use tools and equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Work with the installation team to meet job deadlines.
  • Become familiar with and understand Out & Upfitters product line.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of previous vehicle technician/mechanic experience.
  • Strong automotive 12/24-volt experience (4+ years).
  • Demonstrated certification or schooling through a recognized vehicle manufacturer.
  • Strong mechanical background and aptitude.
  • CAD or Solid Works experience a plus.
  • Mercedes-Benz experience preferred but not required.
