About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Pond & Co. in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will possess over 8+ years of industrial process design experience and a strong background in chemical, biochemical, or mechanical process design engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead process engineering assignments in a multi-disciplinary environment, working under general supervision.
  • Deliver process engineering deliverables on time and within budget, meeting clients' expectations for accuracy and quality.
  • Develop process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment specifications, and cost studies.
  • Support the development of layouts and review process deliverables.
  • Create project scope and design criteria, estimate project basis for process, and develop a project-specific design basis.
  • Ensure local, state, and federal standards and codes are met, and permitting requirements are established and communicated with clients and project teams.
  • Identify and inform project scope changes to project managers, provide support on project change notices, and estimate time, cost, and develop additional scope changes.
  • Plan and execute work for project teams, manage various size projects, and track and maintain quality standards, budget, and schedule.
  • Delegate work to other engineers and designers based on their skill level, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Produce optimal design, engineering calculations, preliminary designs, and material take-offs suitable for appropriate levels of cost estimates.
  • Develop bid packages, work with vendors and clients to develop cost estimates and proposals, and review vendor fabrication drawings and other construction submittals.
  • Support the development of department standards, procedures, and guidelines, and check calculations, reports, and studies to ensure quality, design criteria, specifications, industrial codes/standards, and good engineering practices are met.
  • Coordinate and consult with other discipline leads to ensure quality and workflow of the project are met.
  • Perform required fieldwork to gather, verify process data, and tie-ins, and provide construction support.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope review meetings, proposal development, and client presentations, and travel as required for on-site work, project meetings, client presentations, or training opportunities.
  • Actively participate in training and mentoring junior engineers.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $117,000 to $189,500, depending on scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge, and experience.
