Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to lead our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing oversight and management of various project tasks, developing technical concepts and designs, and preparing documents including reports, studies, plans, specifications, and estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team as a senior technical resource and provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Use expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package and perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepare technical specification sections and provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field plus 4 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience preparing calculations and design documents (reports, plans, specifications) and P.E. certification.
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering and building development projects covering all aspects of building design-survey, design development, construction documents, and administration.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Arc GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models, and experience with permitting site/land development projects.
