Key Responsibilities- Teach music courses to students, including lectures, discussions, and performances.
- Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and aligns with the college's goals.
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of music programs.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement music-related projects and initiatives.
- Master's degree in Music or a related field.
- Experience teaching music courses at the community college level or higher.
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use technology to support teaching and learning.
- Experience with online instruction.
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
The Music Instructor will work in an indoor office environment and may be required to teach online classes. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time, as well as the ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
