This part-time role involves working collaboratively with enthusiastic colleagues to provide quality care and support for school-aged children. You will assist in delivering after-school programs at local schools, ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere for all participants.

Core Responsibilities:

As a Student Support Assistant, you will operate under the supervision of lead educators. Your duties will include:
  • Assisting in maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for children
  • Implementing engaging and enjoyable educational activities
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and the broader school community

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a YMCA Background Check
  • Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or willingness to enroll prior to starting
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Minimum age of 15 years

Compensation:

$17.00 per hour
