Compensation:
$0.75 above the local minimum wage

Job Overview:
This role is part of a Community Service Work Study program, and candidates must possess Federal Work Study funding as part of their financial aid package. The Playspace is a dedicated area designed to engage children through various interactive experiences while fostering connections among parents and caregivers.

Since its establishment, we have collaborated with community partners and volunteers to create an affordable, welcoming, and secure environment that promotes cognitive and social development, imagination, creativity, and self-exploration.

The Playspace Program Support Assistant will work closely with the Program Director, team members, and Board Members to design and execute initiatives for the playspace, while also providing support to its members.

Reports directly to the Executive Director and the Program Manager.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Organize and lead activities for playspace members.
2. Collaborate with community partners to offer engaging events.
3. Facilitate various activities for children.
4. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

To be determined.


Minimum Qualifications:

Must have Federal Work Study funds included in the financial aid package. Candidates should be comfortable with physical tasks and interacting with children. Strong verbal and communication skills are essential. Familiarity with social media and digital platforms for event promotion is preferred.


Availability:
Monday to Saturday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for enthusiastic students with an interest in non-profit work, early childhood education, community outreach, social sciences, or program development.


Additional Skills:
Ability to communicate in a second language is a plus. Candidates should be prepared for physical work and engaging with children.
