The LPN role at Washington Health System involves providing direct and indirect patient care to meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care. This includes communicating effectively with patients and families, and providing care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The LPN monitors cardiac rhythm patterns, analyzes and interprets cardiac rhythms, and communicates variances to the physician, charge nurse, and/or registered nurse.

The LPN provides clerical support, including answering telephones, entering physician orders, maintaining patient records, and conducting 24-hour chart checks.

The LPN maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. They also communicate with physicians and team members regarding changes in the patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

The LPN responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or responses to treatment. They perform general nursing duties in all departments under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Requirements:

  • Commit to enrolling in an RN program within two years of hire date
  • Obtain RN licensure within 5 years of hire date

Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts
