Job Summary

Britten, a veteran-owned creative production house, seeks a skilled Paint and Coating Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for applying finish coatings to bring our projects to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply paint and other coatings manually and with spray applicators
  • Spray multiple types of finishes, paints, and coatings to various materials
  • Sand and smooth items in preparation for finishing
  • Read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings to understand project specifications
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Work with glues and bonding materials, and cut and assemble materials to specifications
  • Use power tools and hand tools to prepare materials for assembly
  • Follow all safety standards and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Meet short deadlines without compromising quality, and align with and believe in the company core values: We Say Yes, We Hustle, We Think Bigger, We Keep Promises, We Build People Up
Requirements
  • Experience in commercial, residential, or auto body repair and finish work preferred but not required
  • Experience with PPG or Matthews paint mixing systems strongly considered
  • Familiarity with a variety of paint finish techniques on diverse substrates
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for color detail and results-driven approach
  • Outstanding written, email, and oral communication skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Able to lift up to 50-70 pounds unassisted
  • Repetitive motion, standing, and feeling
  • Subject to noise and atmospheric conditions
