Job Summary

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest services, including registration and check-out, PBX operations, mail and message service. This role requires accuracy with daily accounting procedures and adherence to essential hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level customer service to guests
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, and special requests
  • Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional, and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, ensuring complete and accurate information
  • Complete daily tasks on the appropriate checklist by the end of the shift
  • Follow established key control policy and maintain a well-presented appearance
  • Ensure proper credit policies are followed and verify credit limit reports
  • Submit lost and found articles with a completed report
  • Assist with Concierge services and provide knowledge of the immediate area, services, attractions, and events
  • Monitor room availability and review daily selling status using the yield management system
  • Attend department meetings and perform other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
Work Environment

The work environment is moderate, with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to adjust focus and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
