About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Daltile. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our building services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate department-specific functions across multiple shifts, ensuring that maintenance schedules are completed according to priority.
  • Prioritize work, develop daily department schedules, and assign routine and preventive maintenance tasks to maintain and improve costs, productivity, quality, and safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to established priorities for workflow, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Verify employee hours worked in the Kronos system.
  • Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all equipment, including document preparation, storage, and revision.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance crews and project leaders, managing daily activities and ensuring the quality and quantity of work performed by the department.
  • Maintain machinery in specific functional areas according to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Provide consistent and constructive feedback to employees, suggesting changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of work performed by the department and individuals within the department, ensuring quality requirements and procedures are communicated, understood, and practiced.
  • Train, develop, and identify employee training and resource needs, involved in the hiring process for assigned employee work groups.
  • Maintain training records for employees.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to proactively address issues that may impact the quality of the production process or product.
  • Lead or work on special projects, overseeing contractors on maintenance-related jobs to ensure all contract maintenance services are performed according to quality and safety standards.
  • Report daily/weekly/monthly activities related to PM program execution, equipment uptime performance, maintenance personnel activities, and budget status for all sections.
  • Inspect daily for cleanliness and perform weekly safety walk-throughs in all departments.
  • Ensure all maintenance crews are adequately maintained and equipped to perform as required.
  • Monitor adherence to standards, ensuring products or services meet or exceed established criteria.
  • Address and resolve operational issues, conflicts, and challenges that may arise within the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 4-6 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2 years of management experience.
