Job Summary

Gannett Fleming is seeking a highly skilled Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our geotechnical engineering group, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and providing technical expertise to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage major projects, including determining scope, resources, schedule, and budget requirements
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors/subconsultants
  • Apply extensive knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices to evaluate, select, and apply techniques, procedures, and analyses
  • Conduct business development to build a book of business, generate leads, and pursue new opportunities
  • Manage client relationships, identify and understand client needs, and manage client expectations
  • Lead project meetings, present specific aspects of engineering assignments, and represent the organization in communications and conferences
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
  • Master of Science Degree preferred
  • 15 or more years of increasing responsibility and experience in geotechnical engineering
  • Professional Engineering license in California, or a state that provides comity with California
  • Geotechnical Engineering license in California
  • Expert-level knowledge of geotechnical engineering concepts, theories, and practices
