We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality geotechnical design and analysis services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and analyze geotechnical systems, including deep foundations, ground improvement procedures, embankments, and cut slopes.
- Develop and implement geotechnical design elements, including miscellaneous structures, drainage box structures, bridge abutments, and various retaining wall types.
- Oversee the design of geotechnical projects, including reports, designs, specifications, and plans.
- Complete geotechnical analyses, report preparation, and design efforts with minimal direction and in response to project needs.
- Develop subsurface exploration and laboratory testing programs.
- Review geotechnical laboratory data and subconsultant deliverables for conformance with applicable testing and project standards.
- Provide support for design review and adhere to project quality management plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE, SE, and/or GE) certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques and laboratory testing procedures is a plus.
