Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Summary:
Allegiance Staffing is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to work in the Southside of Indianapolis. This position offers a great opportunity for candidates with a background in assembling heavy equipment, hydraulics, and welding. The ideal candidate will demonstrate teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble drilling rigs and sub-assemblies, including tasks such as welding, assembling hydraulic components, electrical components, and mechanical fastening.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
  • Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and keep equipment service records.
  • Work as part of a drill build team and contribute to the MDI shop team.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to team success.

Requirements:
  • Experience in automotive or heavy equipment machinery preferred.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, hydraulics, and electrical wire harnessing is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Must provide personal hand and power tools; specialty tools will be provided by the company.
  • Strong teamwork skills, honesty, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
