Responsibilities:

  • Interpret detailed and complex electronic drawings, schematics, and BOMs to facilitate assembly processes.
  • Identify mechanical and electronic components required for assembly and testing.
  • Evaluate electrical and physical characteristics of cable assemblies to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Develop and document procedures for the manufacture and testing of cable assemblies, adhering to industry standards such as J-Std, IPS, Mil-Spec, and customer-specific directives.
  • Hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electrical assemblies as needed.
  • Effectively manage and assign workloads to a team of 6-8 technicians, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical assembly, with a focus on cable assemblies and test sets.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electronic drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
  • Extensive knowledge of test and measurement instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as J-Std, IPS, Mil-Spec, and customer-specific directives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical assemblies.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, with experience in managing small teams.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision in workmanship.
