Position Overview

We are in search of dedicated accounting students eager to acquire practical experience in tax and accounting operations. This internship serves as a foundational step towards securing a full-time role with our firm upon graduation. Our organization is expanding, and we are continuously on the lookout for tax professionals who wish to remain in the St Croix Valley Area.

Internship Program Highlights:


• Engage in hands-on experience alongside CPAs and accountants within a dynamic tax office environment.


• Assist in the preparation of small business and individual income tax returns, adhering to firm standards under the guidance of experienced managers.


• Complete electronic tax workpapers to substantiate the tax returns prepared.


• Analyze client documents to identify reportable income and deductions on tax returns, while preparing lists of missing items as necessary.


• Aid in the generation of extensions and estimated tax payments along with required documentation.


• Participate in tax training sessions to enhance understanding of tax preparation software and current tax legislation.


• Conduct accounting reconciliations using QuickBooks or similar accounting software as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications:


• Currently pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.


• On track to complete 150 credits or plans to pursue the CPA examination path, preferred.


• Willingness to work overtime as required, preferred.


• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
