Position Summary:
This role involves a structured schedule with workdays from Monday to Friday, starting at 7:30 AM and concluding at 4:15 PM, including a 45-minute lunch break.
The Chemical Packaging Specialist is tasked with the full range of activities related to the filling, packaging, and accurate labeling of various liquid and solid materials, ensuring the production of high-quality finished goods ready for distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of filling and packaging machinery, including liquid fillers, sealing devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, and shrink/stretch wrap machines.
- Collaborate with team members to execute tasks such as filling products (both liquid and solid), labeling, constructing boxes, and stacking finished items on pallets.
- Conduct inspections of final products to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Propose enhancements to optimize production efficiency.
- Assist in mentoring junior Production Technicians.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace at all times.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Person, Supervisor, or Plant Management.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and remain standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or engineered materials processing sectors.
