Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Medical Communications and Scientific Training to join our team at Takeda. This role will be based out of our Lexington, MA office and will be responsible for leading and executing innovative medical communications and scientific training strategies across various therapeutic areas, including immunology and dermatology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive communication strategies in alignment with US Medical Affairs objectives
  • Lead the development and execution of scientific slide decks, field medical materials, training curriculum, and content
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Medical, Publications, and Training, to ensure seamless execution of medical communications plans
  • Provide strategic guidance on medical communications and scientific training initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and therapeutic area strategies
  • Manage and oversee the development of disease area-specific and product-focused materials, including slide decks, training materials, and publication extenders
  • Develop and execute medical congress strategies and plans, including live and virtual booths, HCP-facing materials, video content, and training resources
Requirements:
  • PharmD or Ph.D. in biological science or related field or MD required
  • 5+ years of related experience at a pharmaceutical company required
  • Minimum of 3 years in medical affairs, including leadership roles in medical communication function required
  • Experience leading individuals and cross-functional teams required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
