Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Communications Manager for Academic Centers to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our academic centers and initiatives, developing and implementing effective marketing and communications strategies to promote their work and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for our academic centers and initiatives, including social media, email marketing, and event planning.
  • Collaborate with center directors and faculty members to identify opportunities for marketing and communications support.
  • Manage and maintain the online presence of our academic centers and initiatives, including website updates and content creation.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to center directors and faculty members on marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty members, center directors, and university administrators.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in an academic or research setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with social media marketing and email marketing software.
