Role Overview:
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care and undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Primary Care & Quality. The Medical Doctor will oversee all patient care activities, while administrative supervision will be provided by the Director.

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid license to practice as a Registered Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant in California, with the authority to prescribe medications
  • Master's Degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Completion certificate from an accredited nurse practitioner program
  • Board Certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current DEA Certification
  • Valid California driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Knowledge of appropriate patient care practices
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and healthcare team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry, and business communication
  • Successful completion of a physical exam and TB test
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and health education
  • Review patient records, including allergies and medication history
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform patient care
  • Administer treatments and prescribe medications based on patient needs
  • Provide prenatal and postnatal care for mothers and infants
  • Perform various medical procedures as required
  • Collaborate with the Medical Doctor on patient care quality and treatment issues
  • Utilize technology for data management and communication
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Administrative Duties:
  • Support administrative functions and maintain professional communication
  • Manage time effectively to meet patient care demands
  • Complete patient charts and submit billing information promptly
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
