Location: Antioch, CA (with potential responsibilities in Richmond, CA)

Compensation: $55-$80 per hour based on experience

Role Overview

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant will deliver direct patient care and perform administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Primary Care & Quality. The Medical Doctor will oversee all patient care activities, while the Director will provide administrative guidance.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:
  • A valid license to practice as a Registered Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant in California, with the authority to prescribe medications
  • A Master's Degree or higher
  • Completion certificate from an accredited nurse practitioner program
  • Board Certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current DEA Certification
  • A valid California driver's license
  • Proof of auto insurance
  • Knowledge of appropriate patient care practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and healthcare teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools
  • Successful completion of a physical exam and TB test
Key Responsibilities

Primary duties include:
  • Providing comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and treatment planning for various care levels
  • Communicating effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and health education
  • Reviewing patient records to ensure accurate medical histories and treatment plans
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to inform patient care
  • Administering or prescribing treatments and medications based on patient needs
  • Providing prenatal and postnatal care for mothers and infants
  • Performing minor surgical procedures and other medical interventions as required
  • Collaborating with the Medical Doctor on patient care quality and treatment issues
  • Utilizing technology for patient management and communication
  • Adhering to all regulatory and compliance standards in healthcare practice
  • Maintaining timely and accurate patient documentation
Administrative Duties

Administrative responsibilities include:
  • Supporting administrative staff through respectful communication
  • Managing time effectively to meet patient care demands
  • Completing patient charts and billing processes promptly
  • Complying with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
