As a key member of the HealthEcareers - Client team, the Healthcare Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit(s), ensuring the highest quality of care is provided while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Management: Manage the unit's day-to-day clinical operations, including practice standards, staffing, payroll, budgets, fiscal management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Staff Development: Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development, ensuring employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
- Patient Care: Monitor the allocation and utilization of personnel based on changes in patient population/needs, ensuring the best level of patient care while identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Quality and Safety: Supervise the daily unit operations, including human resources management, department and employee safety programs, and risk management.
- Service and Utilization: Monitor the quality of service and utilization standards, assuming specific responsibility for patient care at the unit level and ensuring coordinated plans of treatment, customer-focused care, and cost-effective utilization of services.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers outside of the unit to achieve optimal patient care across the continuum, researching and implementing best practice models from other units.
- Employee Relations: Investigate and resolve patient/family member concerns regarding patient care, ensuring a positive and respectful work environment.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience required, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion, or other related leadership experience.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
- Licensure and Certification: Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire, with Basic Life Support certification also required.
- Advanced Certification: ACLS certification strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
- Experience: Must have Labor and Delivery experience.
