Role Overview:

Brighter Beginnings Family Health Clinics is in search of a Billing Supervisor. This role is pivotal in strategizing and overseeing the reimbursement processes while nurturing collaborative relationships across departments.

The Supervisor will manage revenue cycle operations, providing essential support and guidance to staff involved in eligibility, billing, collections, and financial planning for patients.

This position necessitates strong analytical skills to present data effectively and will work closely with the CFO to meet performance metrics aimed at enhancing our health center's operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Patient Financial Services operations.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Identify and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Work with clinical operations to minimize errors and enhance patient experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Analyze operational data to recommend procedural improvements.
  • Participate in strategic planning to ensure comprehensive health service delivery.
  • Attend educational events to stay updated on relevant regulations.
  • Establish and enforce departmental policies to maintain data accuracy.
  • Coordinate with IT and vendors to ensure data integrity within management systems.
  • Manage the practice management side of billing systems.
  • Engage in process improvements by collaborating with other health centers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a productive team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain effective relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to serving underserved populations with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.

Requirements:
  • Certified Coder.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of FQHC practices and compliance regulations.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in community healthcare.
  • Familiarity with E-ClinicalWorks (eCW) and Dentrix.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
