Job Summary

JMT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Washington, DC area. As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide electrical engineering assistance for design and construction projects, utilizing your expertise in design principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate, and execute.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects.
  • Establish design standards and criteria for construction projects.
  • Conduct on-site field survey measurements and verification.
  • Prepare electrical load calculations.
  • Utilize computer-assisted design software such as Revit and SketchUp.
Requirements
  • US Government Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 10 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer in commercial/government office building design and construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • US Government Top Secret security clearance.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Experience working with governmental agencies at the federal, city, county, and state levels.
  • 20 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer in commercial/government office building design and construction.
Working Conditions

The work environment is a combination of office and field (construction) settings, with approximately 25% to 75% of time spent in the field. Field work requires climbing, walking, and standing at a construction site and may be exposed to various weather conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required.
