Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Fincantieri Marinette Marine. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing electrical technical packages for Business Development projects, resolving problems for ongoing marine projects, and supervising resources to support assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical technical packages for Business Development projects
  • Resolve problems for ongoing marine projects
  • Develop all applicable documentation
  • Supervise resources to support assigned projects
  • Support Class Design Services as needed
  • Participate in developing Concept Designs for various Classified & Commercial Marine Projects
  • Assist the Ship Design Technical Lead and Project Engineer in meeting assigned tasks
Requirements
  • Master's degree in electrical/electronics engineering with 6 years of marine-related experience or Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering with 8 years of experience
  • Supervisory experience strongly desired
  • Six Sigma or LEAN training desired
  • Strong knowledge of standard shipbuilding rules and regulations
  • Ability to develop and interpret AutoCAD 2D & 3D drawings
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills
  • Ability to work within schedule and budget restraints
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Working Environment

This is a full-time office-oriented assignment in Washington DC. Travel to outlying facilities will be on an as-needed basis and limited to 20%.
