High School History Educator at Rocky Mountain Prep

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School History Educator to join our team at Rocky Mountain Prep. As a member of our community, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to our mission of democratizing college access and preparation for historically marginalized students and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, promoting a culture of learning and academic excellence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless integration of curriculum and instructional strategies, driving student growth and proficiency.
- Collect, analyze, and utilize data to inform instruction, identify areas of improvement, and develop targeted interventions to support student success.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects our PEAK values of Perseverance, Excellence, Adventure, and Kindness.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in History or a related field.
- Current Colorado teaching license with relevant grade/content endorsement or an official transcript demonstrating a degree in secondary education and/or relevant content area.
- Completion of CDE READ Act training and/or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) 45 contact hours.
- Pass a background check and demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum two years of lead teaching experience.
- Experience with progress monitoring, data collection, and analysis.
- Knowledgeable about culturally responsive instruction and critical pedagogical frameworks.
- Demonstrated success working with scholars from historically marginalized communities.

- Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $94,800 depending on experience and level of education.
