About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated High School Early Literacy Intervention Teacher to join our team at Rocky Mountain Prep. As a member of our staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of our scholars.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in literacy instruction and experience working with students who require additional support to meet their academic needs. You will be responsible for teaching daily literacy interventions in individual and small group settings, progress monitoring student data, and collaborating with general education teachers and other stakeholders to meet the needs of each learner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach daily literacy interventions in individual and small group settings
  • Progress monitor student data and document progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other stakeholders to meet the needs of each learner
  • Lead Student Care Plan meetings for students requiring additional support

Requirements:

  • 3 years of full-time K-12 lead teaching experience that involves literacy instruction
  • Ability to provide student data demonstrating 1.5 years of reading growth in a single school year
  • CO teaching license or out-of-state teaching license with the ability to transfer licensure to CO
  • Pass a background check and demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing a literacy intervention program with fidelity
  • Specialized training in research-based literacy intervention
  • Experience working with linguistically and culturally diverse students and families
