Position Overview:
The Healthcare Administrative Coordinator will provide essential administrative support within a patient-service area of the College of Dentistry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary contact for patients, assisting with the onboarding process.
  • Manage patient records by entering, coding, verifying, and retrieving information through electronic medical record systems.
  • Generate and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring the integrity of information.
  • Communicate billing, payment, and insurance procedures to new patients.
  • Address routine inquiries from patients, families, and dental staff.
  • Monitor workflow and report any issues to supervisors, contributing to the improvement of reception area operations.
  • Maintain and update patient files, including dental records and financial documents.
  • Utilize office technology and software for report preparation, scheduling, and record management.
  • Assist senior personnel in managing departmental records and reports.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should possess at least one year of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting, including record keeping and direct patient interaction. Completion of an accredited medical secretarial or paramedical program is preferred.
