Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Specialist Consultant to join our Early Intervention team at Discovery Therapy in Montgomery County, PA.

This is a full-time, part-time, or contract/per-diem position with flexible hours between Monday and Friday. *1099 Contractor Position*

About the Role

The Behavior Specialist Consultant will conduct, develop, and supervise individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for clients in home and community settings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Transferring treatment plan implementation skills to mediators, such as parents, teachers, and caregivers
  • Developing behavioral data collection systems to evaluate treatment plans and achieve individual goals
  • Graphing clinical data on active treatment goals to monitor progress
  • Utilizing clinical outcome measures and individualized data to update treatment plan interventions and discharge/aftercare plans
  • Consulting and coordinating regularly with mediators and providing case consultation as needed
  • Collaborating with schools, daycares, and other related disciplines
  • Completing required documentation regularly

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, education, social work, counseling, or a BACB-approved field
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal Background Check, and FBI Clearances within the past 12 months
  • Minimum of one year of post-college education experience implementing ABA programs for individuals under 21 with autism spectrum disorder or related diagnoses
  • Knowledge and ability to implement assessment tools and practices for children ages three to five
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, including data collection and record-keeping systems
  • Proficient with adaptive/functional clinical assessments, ABA Program/Goal Development, and ABA Behavior Reduction and Skills Acquisition Procedures
  • Competent to address age-specific issues relative to the population served
  • Ability to clinically address emotional/psychological needs of child/adolescent and family
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year based on location and experience.
