Position Overview
This role is integral to the pharmacy team, collaborating with fellow pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to provide expert guidance on medication-related inquiries from various healthcare professionals and patients.

Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will:
1. Review and authorize new medication orders, ensuring compliance with treatment protocols.
2. Conduct thorough screenings for potential interactions, including drug-drug, drug-allergy, and drug-disease state interactions.
3. Actively participate in hospital committees that focus on enhancing pharmaceutical practices.

Patient Care Focus
This position is dedicated to managing the pharmaceutical needs of patients across different demographics, including adults, seniors, and occasionally neonates. You will:
- Ensure appropriate medication dosing and administration tailored to the patient's age and medical condition.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and mentor pharmacy students, contributing to their educational development.

Operational Duties
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dispensing medications in accordance with physician directives and regulatory standards.
- Overseeing the accurate entry of medication orders into the pharmacy information system.
- Ensuring proper packaging and labeling of medications for various routes of administration.
- Compounding specialized medications as required.

Compliance and Quality Assurance
Maintain adherence to all relevant pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards, ensuring the highest quality of care for patients.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution is required, along with relevant experience in a hospital pharmacy setting. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Ohio.
