Duke University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the Department of Pharmacy. This role involves providing clinical pharmacy services, including order verification, clinical monitoring, and support of clinical pharmacy and departmental programs. Responsibilities include maintaining outstanding skills as a clinical pharmacy practitioner and consistently demonstrating the value of pharmacy services. You will provide clinical pharmacy services to cardiology areas, which may include ventricular assist devices, medical cardiology services, cardiac procedural areas, and pulmonary stepdown units. Additionally, you will educate medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff about the management, prescribing, and monitoring of therapies used in patient care areas of responsibility. Serves as a resource to the Department of Pharmacy for area(s) of expertise. Participates in departmental and hospital committees and initiatives related to practice area. Contributes to student and resident education. Provides educational lectures and/or participates in research (Duke, State/Local, National). Works with peers to achieve division and departmental goals. Takes responsibility for personal and professional growth. Maintains familiarity with all departmental programs and works as an integral part of the pharmacy team. Additional responsibilities as assigned by Manager. The estimated annual salary for this position is around $130,000 - $170,000, based on national averages for similar positions in the United States. Note that actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. Required qualifications include a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or BS Pharmacy degree with relevant experience and certifications. At least two years of pharmacy practice experience, preferably in cardiology or a related field. Pursuing PGY1 or Pharmacy Practice Residency preferred.
