Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Performance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing restraint systems using simulations software and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and validate restraint component models using FE programs
  • Correlate test results and optimize component performance
  • Carry out parameter studies, DOE, or topology studies for component optimization
  • Perform biomechanical data analysis and film analysis
  • Simulate and evaluate load cases of occupant restraint systems
  • Correlate test results and optimize restraint system performance
  • Carry out parameter studies and DoE for system performance optimization
  • Analyze test results (crash, sled, OoP)
  • Display expertise in seatbelt modeling and analysis using LS-DYNA
  • Support product engineering with component development and optimization
  • Create and execute status presentations and participate in project meetings
  • Actively participate in DFMEA and design reviews
  • Coordinate test setup with responsible product/system engineer
  • Manage technical projects for occupant restraint systems/occupant safety projects
  • Stay up-to-date with global government and consumer test performance criteria and testing methods
  • Integrate between passive and active safety systems

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Engineering, Numerical Math, or comparable subject
  • Experience with PamCrash, LS-DYNA, ABAQUS, RADIOSS, MADYMO
  • Experience with operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux)
  • Experience with relevant pre- and post-processing tools (e.g., Hyperworks, Animator, Visual Environment)
  • Knowledge in occupant safety and vehicle crash, including legislative and consumer test requirements
  • PC knowledge (MS-Office)
  • Background in biomechanics and accident reconstruction
