Join Our Team as a Senior Buyer - Stampings

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer - Stampings to join our team at Inalfa Roof Systems Group. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for leading all activities on behalf of Inalfa NA Region for assigned commodities in conjunction with the global buying strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the company's regional and global objectives.
  • Identify, select, and maintain suppliers that provide high-quality products and services at a competitive price.
  • Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability.
  • Utilize cost analysis, negotiation, and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
  • Initiate and lead cost reduction initiatives to achieve best value.
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Find synergies between Regional Commodity and Operations/Project Purchasing to leverage suppliers for further cost reductions.
  • Make use of SMS reports and supplier risk management tools to set supplier strategy.
  • Provide regular reports identifying activities, accomplishments, and commodity strategy.
  • Participate in supplier development and quality audits.
  • Schedule and lead strategic business reviews with key suppliers.
  • Support project teams during kick-off review meetings.
  • Proactively support and coordinate regional change management process.
  • Support the supplier escalation problem-solving team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferred.
  • 2-3 years of related experience and/or technical background.
  • Negotiating skills to get best overall value.
  • Understanding of cost drivers of products assigned for proper analytics.
  • Understanding of the market in automotive or relevant manufacturing industry.
  • Technical acumen.
  • Knowledge of contractual language and contracts, preferably.
  • Microsoft Office skills, a must.
Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Preferably a second language like Spanish or German.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Work Environment:

This employee regularly works in an office environment. Occasionally the employee works in the manufacturing area around moving mechanical equipment and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Travel:

Ability to travel internationally as required and determined by business demand. Current expected travel approximately 10%. Mainly local.
