Overview

LMI Consulting, LLC seeks a seasoned Asset Management Specialist to support a federal program management office in the National Capital Region. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring accountability for government property as it is acquired by the Border Patrol Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD), transferred to field user organizations, and when required, screened for reutilization or disposal.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 45, specifically the management of federal personal property from acquisition through disposal. They will be responsible for reconciling support documentation, creating asset records in the government financial/asset management database, and reviewing purchasing transactions for completeness as part of the acquisition process.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership Role: Lead the LMI Asset Management team and guide the duties of LMI Local Property Officers (LPOs) in direct support of client's asset portfolios.
  • Asset Management Expertise: Provide guidance on the development of policy and procedures for PMOD Asset Management, review and validate all asset requirements to contract deliverables, and ensure compliance with FAR Part 45.
  • Innovative Solutions: Identify areas for asset management program improvement or innovation, determine alternatives to sustain the accountability of government personal property, and document the annual inventory process.
  • Client Support: Monitor execution of the annual inventory plan, oversee entry of receipt and issue transactions into financial and asset management databases, and create and maintain a Management Control Plan.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related discipline; or Master's degree with 7+ years of experience in Government Property/Asset Management discipline.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of FAR Part 45, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, and experience with SAP and Maximo asset management system.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders, and ability to effectively solve problems.
