Job Summary:
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives seeks a highly skilled Asset Forfeiture Specialist to protect communities from violent criminals and criminal organizations. The successful candidate will safeguard the public through information sharing, training, research, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
The Asset Forfeiture Specialist will perform duties such as:

  • Providing technical assistance to management on asset forfeiture programs
  • Reviewing asset forfeiture inventory and implementing changes to seized and forfeited assets procedures
  • Working with databases such as Case Management System and Consolidated Asset Tracking System to perform reviews on data being collected

Requirements:
Must meet all qualifications, time-in-grade requirements, and conditions of employment, including a background investigation, residency, and security clearance.

Qualifications:
Must possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13), performing duties such as:

  • Providing technical assistance to management on a variety of functions and activities such as audit review, budget data analyses on the asset forfeiture program
  • Reviewing asset forfeiture inventory ensuring all required documentation is provided
  • Working with various databases such as Case Management System and Consolidated Asset Tracking System to perform reviews on data being collected

Education and Training:
The selected candidate will be required to secure Contracting Officer Representative (COR) training and obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
