Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Technology Recruiting Solutions. This is a corporate-level position that requires strategic support for multiple chemical plant sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide control system expertise to operating facilities
  • Develop and maintain a process control program for Process Automation and Safety Instrumented Systems
  • Manage process issue resolution and problem-solving activities
  • Ensure compliance with industry, regulatory, and company standards
  • Identify cost reduction and defect elimination opportunities
  • Support procurement and management of spare parts
  • Develop and implement engineering standards, procedures, and practices
  • Provide technical advice for operation and maintenance teams
  • Develop plant changes for safety, reliability, and cost reduction
  • Troubleshoot failures using root cause analysis
  • Keep documentation, software configurations, and data up to date
  • Assist in budget management and act as focal point for systems vendors maintenance contracts
  • Drive improvement in process safety, emissions, and ESG targets
  • Ensure hazard identification and risk management processes are in place
Requirements
  • BS Chemical Engineering or related degree
  • 8+ years experience as a Process Control Systems Engineer in chemical, refinery, or related process manufacturing plants
  • Proficient in Process Automation and Safety Instrumented Systems, interfaces, protocols, measuring methods, field instruments, and actuated valves
  • Preferred experience in Yokogawa or Emerson's Delta V DCS systems, and PLC systems including Honeywell and Rockwell
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to provide timely technical advice
  • Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future
