Job Description

DLZ Corporation has a Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) opportunity in a dynamic and growing market. We are seeking an experienced landscape architect to join our team and work on a wide range of project types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and monitor specific segments of projects.
  • Participate in directing or monitoring the projects overall progress, including conceptualizing and development of graphics and writing and administration of the project as delegated.
  • Provide project assistance such as directing, supervising, coordinating, reviewing and evaluating efforts of various landscape architecture/planning and design disciplines within the project group.
  • Recommend corrective action to be taken when necessary.
  • Prepare and approve design drawings, specifications, studies and written work.
  • Prepare for and participate in oral presentations to prospective and existing clients and review agencies.
  • Direct and coordinate written material and assure receipt of information from subcontractors to meet the overall project goals.
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of project schedules, equipment lists, manpower budgets, work schedules, cost estimates, manpower forecasts, project correspondence and project scope definition.
  • Review and approve actions per client requests for landscape architecture changes orders.
  • Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
  • May, at times, perform the general functions inherent in the advancement to a Landscape Architect IV.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Registered Landscape Architect (RLA).
  • AutoCAD skills with the ability to produce technical drawing and digital production skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret ordinances, codes, plan, maps and blueprints.
  • Must possess strong site design, park design, streetscape design skills and graphic abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communications skills required.
  • Valid drivers license with insurable driving record is mandatory.
  • Travel to job sites will be required. Primarily local travel, occasionally overnight stay.
  • Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
