The Process Engineer is a key member of the operational management team responsible for driving continuous improvement and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, volume, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, with experience in project implementation, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma certification. Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD/Inventor, and excellent organizational and communication skills are essential. The Process Engineer will work closely with the Production Supervisor and other team members to identify and implement process improvements, develop Standard Operating Procedures, and ensure site compliance with corporate process standards. This is a challenging and rewarding role for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about process optimization and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce waste and seconds
  • Analyze production downtime and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures and Visual Work Instructions
  • Design and implement industrial trials to test new processes and equipment
  • Lead process improvement teams and mentor/coach Plant Co-Op students
  • Ensure site compliance with corporate process standards and participate in plant monthly and quarterly Balanced Scorecard (BSC) reviews
  • Participate in plant internal Process audit and lead process improvement teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Experience in project implementation, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma certification
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD/Inventor
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor/coach Plant Co-Op students
  • Excellent team player with a strong analytical mindset
